According to a Meta spokesperson in an interview with BLoomberg News, thecompany is actively seeking a suitable replacement for Pineau. Last year, Metaunderwent a restructuring, with the AI research department now directly underChief Product Officer Chris Cox, highlighting the company’s strategic approachto AI dEVElopment.
Pineau has indicated that she will take a break before embarking on a yet-to-be-disclosed ‘new adventure.’ During her leadership, the FAIR lab achievedseveral research breakthroughs, propelling Meta’s advancement in artificialintelligence.
