At Lenovo’s 2025/26 fiscal year kickoff EVEnt, Chief Technology Officer TolgaKurtoglu stressed that present AI applications remain in a phase of raPidtechnological demonstration iteration. They are far from fully realizingmature capabilities to generate value for users. He indicated that the futureof AI development hinges on converting technology into user-orientedsolutions, thus building Lenovo’s distinct competitive edge.
Kurtoglu envisioned a future user-centered AI scenario. It won’t be confinedto a single model, chip, device, or form. Instead, it will be powered by thecooperation of multiple models and agents from the edge, cloud, and on-device,offering Seamless services to users. The combination of robust capabilitiesand a straightforward user experience is the real essence of AI.
To bring this vision to life, Kurtoglu elaborated on Lenovo’s technologicalplan.
Firstly, Lenovo will set up a model factory. With a professional globalengineering team, the deployment time of new models will be reduced frommonths to weeks. This enables rapid model optimization and delivery to R&D;teams, ensuring Lenovo’s leadership in the application of the latest models.
Secondly, Lenovo will utilize advanced model orchestration technology forautomated model selection. This orchestrator can smartly break down userqueries or tasks and summon the most suitable model (whether it’s on thedevice, server, or cloud). For instance, “Lenovo Xiaotian” can automaticallyassess the privacy requirements of a query and assign the task to the mostappropriate model network, enhancing information retrieval efficiency whilestreamlining the user experience.
Finally, these capabilities will speed up the deployment of AI agents viaLenovo’s intelligent agent development framework. This framework providesgeneral and specialized building blocks, allowing R&D; teams to quicklyconnect, adjust, and build agents that meet diVerse cusTomer needs withoutstarting from scratch. It includes core features like security, self-learning,multi-agent cooperation, and task management.
Kurtoglu stated that with the fast model deployment capabilities from themodel factory, leading model orchestration technology, and the intelligentagent development framework, Lenovo will be capable of delivering powerful AIagents to users.
